The potential of various Namibian sectors is well known. However, minimal steps have been taken, as such, the Namfarmer will host an information session for the poultry participants and potential entrants.
In a press release, Namfarmer is inviting all those who aspire to be poultry farmers and individuals that want to learn more about the poultry industry for information sharing on Saturday, 23 July.
The Poultry Infor session will be hosted at Chicco’s eggs farm, Plot 43, Gross Barmen road, Okahandja.
It will be hosted under the theme: Better Understanding the Need of Poultry Farmers and Advancing the sector ahead.
Namfarmer communication officer Ismail Henock explains that poultry is one of the sectors within the Agri industry that has great potential, and once tapped right, it can significantly contribute to the economy of the country in terms of income generation and social welfare of the people.
He said, as a result, Poultry Info Day is organised to inspire, stimulate and empower individuals that would want to start their own Poultry initiatives.
Apart from that, the event is also organised so that the organisation can hear the unique needs affecting poultry farmers and how they can be collectively addressed now, and in the future.
Warnock Media, Nutri Feeds, Chicco’s Eggs farm facilitated the event. Those who are interested can book with NamFarmer to book their spot. Henock has also highlighted that as for the months ahead, Namfarmers will be hosting two more Farmers Information Session Days.
One will be based on livestock, and the other will be based on crops. The exact dates and venues are still to be announced.
Namfarmers is an entity involved in promoting agriculture within Namibia. Its scope of work includes offering practical training to farmers, organising farmers’ information session days, agricultural consultancy and Agri Project implementation and management.
