The Government Institutions Pension Fund (GIPF) will hold two workshops at the Ongwediva Annual Trade Fair on the 29th and 30th of August 2022.

The Fund said the two pre-retirement workshops would be held at the Trade Fair Centre from 13h30 to 18h00 daily.

The pre-retirement workshops aim to prepare GIPF members between the ages of 53 and 59 who are planning to retire early or regular.

The workshops will address GIPF benefits, PSEMAS medical aid benefits, retirement planning, and individual consultations.

GIPF marketing services manager Amos Kambonde said the Fund believes that increased stakeholder engagement positively impacts service delivery and helps the Fund to achieve service excellence.

Kambonde further said the Fund has prioritized member engagement through extensive member education outreach programmes.

“The recently launched biometric enrolment system will also be a key feature at the Fund’s stand at the trade fair,” Kambonde said.

The Fund will be situated in the Queen’s Hall stalls number 90 to 96 and offer GIPF-related services such as biometrics enrolment, pension enquiries, retirement advice, benefit statements, income statements, and the submission of required outstanding documents.

“We urge all our pensioners, spouses and children who receive a monthly income from the GIPF to visit the GIPF stall to get enrolled. Enrolment is crucial as it ensures that members continue receiving their monthly income without disruption,” Kambonde said.

According to Kambonde, pensioners and other annuitants in the North are kindly reminded that the Biometric enrolment process will continue at the four GIPF offices in Eenhana, Outapi, Oshakati and Ondangwa.

“Kindly note that GIPF Satellite offices at Grootfontein, Opuwo and Nkurenkuru will not be enrolling during this initial phase. Our mobile teams will serve these offices, and those schedules will be announced in the media in due course.
