Oshakati police are requesting the public to help in tracing the whereabouts of Veronica Domingos, who went missing on 30 October 2021.
According to the head of the public relations division, Deputy Commissioner Kauna Shikwambi, Veronica went missing when she left her friend’s house in the Oshikango location in Oshakati.
However, on 1 November 2021, Veronica allegedly called and informed her friend “Betty” that she had boarded a taxi to her workplace and that the taxi driver had taken her to Okahao in the Omusati region.
Shikwambi further said Domingos was allegedly locked up in the taxi driver’s bedroom.
“Betty allegedly advised Veronica to make a plan to escape from the room and go to her workplace, to which she agreed. Some minutes later, Betty tried to call Veronica’s number, but it was off,” Shikwambi said.
Veronica Domingos is an Angolan national. She is fluent in Portuguese and Oshiwambo languages.
Shikwambi added that “a case docket is opened for investigation, but efforts to trace her since her disappearance were unsuccessful.”
