The Public Service Union of Namibia (PSUN) has dragged the Namibia Broadcasting Corporation (NBC) to court where it is seeking an order to compel NBC to stop deducting workers that were on strike.
Eagle FM is reliably informed that the NBC is set to deduct workers for the remaining two weeks of 8 May to 26 May 2021.
Deductions are said to have commenced from 22 April to 7 May 2021.
PSUN is also seeking a court order compelling NBC to cease any further deductions as well as pay the cost of the court application.
“PSUN is not fighting the no work no pay- they are fighting that NBC could have made the deductions over a period- or just take one-third of the salary instead of taking everything,” a source very close to the court case has confided.
