Our bitterness for whatever had happened to us individually and or collectively should not blind us into oblivion. We should also remember very well where we came from historically speaking. If you went for military training in China, Moscow or Kongwa, your respective place of training cannot be the only better place for military training. Some COur bitterness for whatever had happened to us individually and or collectively should not blind us into oblivion. We should also remember very well where we came from historically speaking. If you went for military training in China, Moscow or Kongwa, your respective place of training cannot be the only better place for military training. Some Cdes sacrificed their youth to advance the cause of the liberation one way or the other. Some went to school and others went for military efforts such as Cdes Martin Shali, Charles Namoloh, PENDUKENI IIVULA and many many young people of our generation. I did not go for military training abroad but was trained on the continent, Tanzania, Kongwa. After our training, I was selected on merit to be one of the Instructors for others who came after our group.
I had trained many combatants, some who became commanders, and some may be here in NAMIBIA who can vouch for my averse.
Despite the fact that we all belonged to PLAN, we did not know each other physically as we operated in different operational areas.
Many of the Cdes whose names I heard about I only met them later in life after our independence.
Cde Charles Namoloh is one such comrade. I came to know him after his diplomatic service to India. If he thinks that I only want him now, whatever that means, he must be mistaken. His Kwanyamaism is none of my concern. If at all I had a problem with Kwanyamas, then I could not have married a Kwanyama to start with. I have two sons from that marriage just in case he does not know.
I do not have problems with any tribe but have problems with tribalism.
I thought Cde Namoloh was one of my Cdes. I never saw/consider him in any other categories than that. If he thinks that I want him now, that is absolutely a figment of his fertile imagination. I continue to see/consider him as a comrade and when he was vandalized at Cde late commander Mbulunganga’s funeral, I communicated my sympathy to him, I did not mean to “want” him.
Omuwambo oha ti, “sha popiwa konkolwe oyeenda nasho.”
I mean to have raised my name in such a way on that platform means, it has been sitting with the comrade for too long.
I continue to sympathize with you Cde Namoloh as I know that experience from a personal situation.
Let us find peace for ourselves, no one will give it to us.
