The Independent Patriots for Change Deputy national general secretary to Christine /Aochamus Patrick Shiyemo Kashera who announced his resignation from the party last night has changed his mind.
On the IPC structure, the office of the national general secretary is the third highest position coming after that of the national chairperson.
He also contested for Kavango east regional constituency seat in the November 2020 regional councils’ elections.
Kashera told Eagle FM on Saturday that the issue that had driven him to resign from the IPC had been resolved internally hence his change of mind.
On his Facebook page, Kashera wrote: “My Party IPC did not accept the proposed resignation; therefore, I respect the mandated constitution that I have taken an Oath for the sacred and suffering of our Namibian people.
“My resignation lacks substantial reason which was based on emotion not following the guiding principles of our Constitution. I, therefore, apologize to every IPC members and those aggrieved by my fast decision.”
