GOBABIS MAN RAPES SISTER (12)

The police said they have not yet arrested a man who raped his 12-year-old sister at Gobabis on Friday night at the Buffalo Flats.

According to the police crime report, the man whose age was not given and his sister were watching TV in the sitting room.

The report further said that the sister slept on the sofa and woke up to find her brother raping her.

last week. The police said the suspect, who has not yet been arrested, lured the girl into a mahangu field.

The girl, the police said, was on her way home from school.

At Rehoboth on Saturday and between 00h00 and 05h00 at Block E, near Vooruitsig Primary School, two girls aged 16 and 17 were allegedly threatened with Okapi knives and raped by two men.

According to the police, the suspects approached the victims who were escorting each other.

Initially, the suspects demanded money and, when the victims said they did not have, forced the girls to accompany them to Block E, where the rape happened.

An 11-year-old boy drowned in a sewage pond at Kamanjab on Friday around 15hoo.

The police have identified the boy as Royal Dino /Naub, whose body was later retrieved.

Royal had gone swimming with other children when he drowned.

The body of Heinrich Dominiques (25) was found hanging from a tree between Karasburg and Satco Reserve on Saturday afternoon.

On the same day, 56-year-old Fillepus Hamundjembo’s body was also found hanging from a tree at Ongula yaNetanga Village in Eenhana. Penda Uahengo (22) died on Saturday night when he lost control of the vehicle at Kappsfarm along the B6 road just outside Windhoek. The police said the vehicle rolled several times.

On Saturday morning, an accident at Nkurenkuru killed Thomas Hairwa (47) and left two other men with severe injuries.

The police said Hairwa, a passenger in the vehicle, died on the scene, while the other two men were taken to Nkurenukuru Health Centre for treatment.

There was an attempted murder at Usakos on Friday morning in the Hakhaseb location where an unknown suspect attacked a 25-year-old man with an axe on the head.

The unnamed victim was rushed to a Windhoek hospital, where his condition is critical.
