A body of an unidentified man was discovered in the area of the Ekuku location in Oshakati last week.
A resident found the body behind a sleeping hut, while coming back from the toilet in the morning.
According to police spokesperson of the Oshana region, Thomas Aiyambo, the body was slightly decomposed and had blood around the nose and mouth.
The deceased is unknown to the area and next of kin has not yet been established. There has not been any case opened yet and this will be done after the post mortem.
“The person seems to have died two days ago before being discovered,” Aiyambo said.
The body of a man identified as Immanuel Florian Iiyambo was found hanging from the roof of his sleeping room at Oukongo village at Opuwo on Saturday evening. Iiyambo’s next of kin have been informed of the death.
At Oshikuku in Uukwaniita village on Saturday at about 03h00, Unona Ishuna was found dead in his sleeping room. He was 88 years old. Ishuna is said to have been ill for some time.
A Zambian man (43) has been admitted at the Rundu State Hospital after he was stabbed on the chest, arms and face several times by unknown suspect(s).
The stabbing happened on Friday at about 19:00 at Ndama location near Engen Service Station.
On Saturday night, a 31-year-old man was stabbed in the stomach by a 17-year-old boy.
The incident happened at Farm Werda. The victim was rushed to a hospital in Windhoek, while the suspect was arrested.
Police at Grootfontein are looking for a driver who ran over and killed a man on the B8 road, about 14km from Grootfontein towards Rundu road.
The victim has been identified as Simon Oaseb (43). According to the police, Oaseb died on the spot.
There were two rape cases reported during the weekend. One was at Outapi on Friday at Onhofi village at about 16h00, when a 27-year-old old man allegedly raped his 12-year-old niece. The man was arrested.
At Aminuis, Okeruru village, on Friday at about 21h00, a 41-year-old man was arrested after he allegedly assaulted and raped his girlfriend.
