ANOTHER IPC RESIGNATION

Panduleni Itula’s Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) has suffered yet another resignation and this time Lawrence Ihuhua, the party’s Director of Elections and Chairperson of Yokohama Branch, Khomasdal in Windhoek has called it quits.

In a letter seen by Eagle FM, Ihuhua says he was leaving the party “because there is no one bold enough to challenge the President
and his team on policies to be implemented”.

However, IPC’s Imms Nashinge said Ihuhua is some “crazy man from Khomasdal” before adding that he was yet to see if the resignation had been allowed by the party.

Ihuha said, “I joined the IPC, in hopes of creating a political power that will serve the needs of the people of Namibia . I envisioned a party where all members are treated equally, regardless of their
status in the party.

“I had hopes that all members would be given a chance to air their grievances before an independent internal tribunal. Unfortunately, this was not the case at the grievance hearing that took place on the 25 March 2021, and I can no longer stand by and watch helplessly.

“The party spokesperson Imms Nashinge has put the party’s name in disrepute, but no one called him to order, however I was subjected to an kangaroo enquiry that found no substance in the allegations I faced. Thanks to Patriot Kangulu, the Director of Operations of IPC who applied his mind and who was so objective in determining this ill- founded allegations.”
