540 800 DOSES OF COVID-19 VACCINES DUE IN JULY & AUGUST … J&J, Sputnik Light, Sinopharm and Astrazeneca

Namibia is expecting 540 800 doses of Covid-19 vaccines in July and August this year.
So far, Namibia has received 197 200 doses of vaccines and administered 135 058 by 24 June 2021.
In a statement on Monday, the health ministry said 40 800 doses of AstraZeneca expected in early July 2021 and another delivery of120 000 doses of AstraZeneca from Europe expected in mid-July 2021.
The ministry further said 150 000 doses of Sinopharm are also expected in early July 2021, while 100 000 doses of Sputnik Light from Russia have also been ordered and will be delivered early July this year.
In addition, Namibia expects 250 000 doses of J&J in early August this year.
The doses that have been administered so far were among 100 000 doses of Sinopharm donated from China, and 30 000 doses of Covishield (AstraZeneca) donated by India.
Out of the 108 000 doses bought through the Covax facility, Namibia has so far received 67 200 doses of AstraZeneca.
