A Namibian man, aged 45, was found dead on the bathroom floor with an electrical cord around his neck. The cord was hooked between the rafters through the scuttle hole in the ceiling.
Inspector Tomas Aiyambo confirmed the incident to Eagle FM on Monday, saying it happened at a house at Oluno in Ondangwa, Oshana region.
Aiyambo further said the deceased’s body was discovered on Saturday around 23h30 by his son. No suicide note was found.
In a separate incident, a case of theft was reported in Oshakati after a man got away with a bag containing more than N$100 000.
The man apparently grabbed the bag from a businessman who had just made the withdrawal at a local bank. The victim, a businessman in the Ongongo area of the Omusati region, had stopped at a local restaurant after the withdrawal.
Aiyambo added that the suspect jumped in a white Toyota Corolla with unknown registration number plates which were parked outside.
No arrest has been made yet in the matter, the police investigations in the matter continue.
