The official opposition Popular Democratic Movement (PDM) has criticized the Independent Patriots for Change (IPC) for making use of its party colours.
PDM has said the electorate has come to be acquainted with the red, blue and white for the past 43 years of the party’s existence.
PDM Secretary General Manuel Ngaringombe this week wrote to IPC SG Christine Aochamas requesting that this be corrected before any measures can be taken.
Ngaringombe said the “IPC is using the exact colours to cause immense confusion among the electorate and could potentially lead to mistaken voting in a number of instances”.
He expressed that his party is intrigued as to why IPC has shunned to make use of the gold that is on its flag instead.
