The Omusati regional education director Laban Shapange has died.
He was 51.
Dr Akutu Munyika, who confirmed the deaths said Shapange died on Thursday at Onandjokwe State Hospital.
“Yes, I am confirming that it is a Covid death. Let’s just accord dignity and respect to the family as it is difficult to time for them,” Munyika said.
The family spokesperson the former pastor in Ondobe ELCIN church Fillipus Haulofu said Shapange died at the early hours around 05h00.
“He was a nobleman and caring, he has been in the hospital bed for a while now, and we have been praying for him hoping that he will get better, spoke to his wife this morning telling me Shapange is no more, we’re in pain and mourning a man who was a helper in our community, ” Houlofu said.
