Deputy prime minister and Vice President of the Swapo party Netumbo Nandi-Ndaitwa has come to the defence of President Hage Geingob saying he has not intimidated white people by his weekend utterances against white voters whom he said have “declared war on Swapo”.
Nandi-Ndaitwa has said white people have not supported government efforts on land reform as they set higher prices causing Swapo to be accused of being too lenient when it comes to land reform.
Nandi-Ndaitwa said Swapo has tried to be accommodative of white people “and for one now to think that you can punish Swapo party because it has been accommodative and working within the framework of the law which we have the power even to change, is just unfair”.
Popular Democratic Movement “PDM” Vice President Jennifer Van den Heever has said her party will be reporting Swapo president Hage Geingob to the Ombudsman for hate speech against white people over his weekend utterances over whites who “have declared war on Swapo”.
