Daring robbers cut an electric fence around a police constable’s house, broke in, tied him up and ransacked the house in Dorado Valley, Windhoek on Saturday.
According to the police, the incident happened at about 19h50.
The constable was in the house when the six robbers, armed with knives, jumped into the yard and broke into the house.
After tying him up, the police said the robbers got away with three cell phones, one TV set, five bags of clothes, four wedding rings and drove off in the constable’s Ford Ranger double cab valued at N$80 000.
The vehicle was later recovered in Goreangab dam where the suspects abandoned it. The TV was also recovered but it was broken.
