Erongo police said two bodies of babies were found dumped at the Walvis Bay’s landfill this past week.
A statement released on Saturday, deputy commissioner Erastus Iikuyu said the first was found on Monday and the second one was found on Wednesday.
Iikuyu said a resident found the first body that could have been 28 months on Monday while rummaging through the dumpsite. The body was in a plastic bag.
A woman who works at the landfill found the second body of a baby girl on Wednesday lying among the rubbish.
The police were called in to collect the bodies that are now lying in the Walvis Bay police mortuary.
Deputy commissioner Iikuyu said post mortems will be done on the bodies.
