The Namibian police have arrested two men aged 22 and 23 years old at Uis in connection with the rape of a 12-year-old girl.
In the incident that happened at Uis, it is alleged that the two men gang-raped the young girl between Friday and Saturday.
The suspects were expected to make their first court appearance before the Omaruru Magistrate’s Court on Monday.
Police are also investigating three different murder cases that occurred between Friday and Sunday.
One of the incidents happened on Sunday at the DRC in Swakopmund between midnight and 08h00, while a 23-year-old woman is being investigated for murder after she allegedly gave birth to a baby boy, wrapped the body in a white plastic bag and dumped pt in a pit latrine.
The body was later retrieved from the pit latrine.
The woman was also charged with concealment of birth and obstructing and defeating the course of justice.
In another murder investigation, a man known as Katjombara Johannes died on Sunday after he was allegedly hacked and chopped with a panga and axe on the head by a 56-year-old man.
The incident happened at Okautjove in the Otjombinde district on Sunday and the alleged hacker has been arrested.
