Police in Windhoek are hunting for two people suspected to have been involved in the death of a 10-year-old girl whose body was found badly burnt and dumped in a skip bin in Windhoek West on Saturday night.
Deputy commissioner Kauna Shikwambi said one person has already been arrested in connection with the girl’s gruesome death.
Those who are on run are Zimbabweans identified as Edward Nketa and his wife, name not given, who come from Bulawayo.
According to the police, the two could be heading towards the border. They could be in the company of a small baby girl and two boys aged 8 and 11 years.
Shikwambi also said that there is a video showing the couple dragging a wheelie bin with the body of the girl inside on Friday night at about 21h00.
In addition, the police are also looking for the other occupants of the house in Windhoek West may have been involved in the death of the girl.
The identity of the girl has not been made public yet.
