The national broadcaster, NBC, has been allocated a budget of N$338 million, according to MICT minister, Peya Mushelenga.
Mushelenga said the NBC amount is above what the broadcaster has requested for due to the need to change back to normal programming.
As of last week, NBC has been covering live parliament debates. He said the NBC board is currently discussing falling back to normal programs.
However, the editorial policy of NBC sparked a heated debate in parliament with the opposition slamming it for favouring the ruling Swapo Party.
Prime Minister Saara Kuugongelwa-Amadhila refuted this by stating that the policy is not that of government or Swapo.
