Namibia Wildlife Resorts (NWR) has taken note of a video circulating on social media relating to a carcass that was found at Namutoni resort tourist shop.
The carcass was found by a tourist while he was looking for ice blocks in one of the fridges. A video that was taken went viral yesterday.
NWR, in conjunction with the Ministry of Environment and Tourism (MET) wardens, will be investigating this matter.
Dr Matthias Ngwangwama, NWR Acting Managing Director, says that “we would like to inform the public that this matter is receiving our greatest attention”.
“Equally, I would like to appreciate the efforts of those members of the public that brought this to our attention. We want to assure them that such incidents will not be allowed to persist at our resorts. To those individuals that allowed for this situation to prevail, they should know that their behaviour is damaging the good name of our company”.
