Baronice Hans, Standard Bank Executive Director: Head of Personal and Business Banking, won the 2015 Overall Business Woman Award last night at the Safari Conference Centre in Windhoek.
The Namibian Business Woman Awards is an event which has been running for the past 21 years organized by Namibia Economist to reward high quality businesswomen and entrepreneurs for their excellence and to encourage continued high quality performance.
Hans, who has taken the crown from previous winner Ericah Shifudah ( PS Minister of Finance ), is a holder of a B Com degree from the University of Cape Town and B Compt (hons) CTA through Unisa, and she is a qualified chartered accountant. She has been working at Standard Bank since 2009 after spending eight years as a General Manager at Nampower in Finance, Treasury and Property Management.
The glamorous event which was graced by many Namibian business women saw Carol Jean Rechter, Co-Owner and Managing Director of Joe’s Beer House, win in the category of Business Owner over seven other established business women from various sectors such as real estate, franchise, restaurants, health as well as beauty and cosmetics.
Rosalia Martins-Hausiku, Motor Vehicle Fund (MVA) Chief Executive Officer, took home the award in the category of Community and Government Sector where she was up against Mia Davis, Head Corporate Communications at Namibian Airports Company (NAC).
