Two men appeared in the Katutura Magistrate’s Court last week, having separately been charged with one count of rape each.

Albertus Pieters allegedly raped a 26-year-old woman in the Maroela area on 2 January last year. His case was postponed to 22 October as the court awaits the ProsecutorGeneral (PG’s) decision.

Similarly, Joel IItika was charged with allegedly raping a 28-year-old woman on 18 September last year.

The accused, who is conducting his own defence, pleaded innocence in C court. Just like Pieters, his case was postponed to 4 December as they await the PG’s decision.
