An elderly man who flipped out on a man in Katutura and bashed him on the head with a stone after a heated argument is out on N$500 bail.
Linus Mulamba, 75, appeared in the Katutura Magistrate court last week after he was arrested for assaulting Tjitaka Tjihepo with a glass and a stone.
Mulamba allegedly grabbed a glass and smashed it on Tjihepo’s head before reaching for a stone which he used to bash his victim’s head with after a heated argument.
He was only arrested three days after New Year and charged last week with assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
Mulamba was granted a N$500 bail after having been in police custody for less than a week and will return to court on 2 March this year as he has to apply for legal assistance.
