An argument turned sour between Arnold Steenkamp and a woman who is
suspected to be his girlfriend when he allegedly threatened to cut her eyes
out.
Steenkamp (38) was at a house in Khomasdal where the struggle with the
woman began and he soon overpowered her, grabbed her by the hair and
dragged her around.
He threatened to kill the lady, saying that he would pop out
her eyes. The women sustained injuries from being dragged around by her
assailant.
The woman reported the case to the police and had Steenkamp
arrested. He is now facing an assault charge as well as an assault by
threat charge for threatening to cut the woman’s eyes out.
When he made an appearance at the Katutura Magistrate Court last week, he
was granted an N$300 bail.
He is expected to make another appearance re in court on 7 February next
year.
