DJ Mufaro signs secrecy deal with bride

by Demilzar C Gumbo

Its official! Base FM’s Dj Mufaro will this weekend wed his long time lover from Okamatapati.
The Zimbabwean DJ (real name Mufaro Nesongana) has been secretly dating his bride for seven years now but V-Metro has now learnt that all roads lead to Okamatapati for a three day Otjiherero traditional wedding.
“She has the finest qualities of a ‘full woman’,” Mufaro describes his lady with an ear to ear smile, adding that, “She is beautiful, loving and brings the best out of me .The Lobola negotiations were already done. I cannot reveal how much I paid because that’s private but I am paying in the form of cattle and cash.”
He further reveals that the wedding is going to be attended by a small group of family and friends while the media might be invited to the wedding reception provided that his fiancée grants her approval. Mufaro also said that he will spare no expenses as he plans to take his bride-to-be on a Safari excursion to a local camping resort for their honeymoon, while quipping: “Local is lekker”.
Intrestingly, the bride’s name has been kept a closely guarded secret with V-Metro only establishing that her surname is Mukaro.
“My biggest achievement is getting married, because it took me a while to propose since it’s not something one can just jump into, any guy needs to have a straight mind to do that,” he explains, adding, “ But i will not reveal her name because of the agreement we have made.”
Mufaro has been in the radio industry for eight years. He has worked at Unam radio, Fresh FM, Energy 100 and finally settled at Base FM in Katutura.
