Two appear in court for conniving to rape

A man and a woman from Eenkombo Village in the Nothern part of the country, Aloisia Ignatius and Raphael Michael appeared at Oshakati Magistrate Court for acting in carhoots to rape a 22 year old girl.
It is alleged that Ignatius (33),  and her husband Kosmas Kanekwaya who is still at large forced their niece to have sex with their friend Michael without her consent.
NamPol’s Public Relations Officer, Sergeant Heskiel Hamarwa, confirmed the rape case CR 08/11/14.
“The two suspects, the alleged rapist and his female accomplice were arrested, but the male accomplice is still at large. He is known and we will find him sooner than later,” said Sergeant Hamarwa.
The two accused appeared in the Oshakati Magistrates court on Monday last week on. The pair was denied bail and the case shifted to the 5th February 2015
According victim, her uncle and his wife forced her into an all-night sexual encounter with Michael. The two allegedly asked their niece to the meat market with a calculated move to get her to meet her victimiser.
Michael then made sexual advances towards her.
As the night grew, Michael asked the suspect and his wife to escort him home.
She was then allegedly forced into the room by her uncle, where she found the businessman already naked. “I pleaded with him to at least use a condom, but he said he doesn’t like using condoms. He removed the tights that I wore and forced himself on me,” she said.
When the man had finished, Kalimbo said, she found her way outside but only to be forced back into the room by her uncle and his wife.
It is further alleged that  Micheal had sex with her against her consent again until the morning. Later that day she informed her mother about her ordeal, who in turn contacted the police.
