First National Bank of Namibia (FNB) has appointed Garth Kleintjes to lead the bank’s IT team as chief information officer, effective 1st May.
Garth believes IT forms an integral part of FNB Namibia’s business success, as it is an important ingredient that will drive future efficiencies and customer service.
“Together with the business units we support, we will continue to provide innovative solutions to FNB clients, with a core focus of providing an increased level of reliability and stability on all platforms,” he said.
Garth joined FNB Namibia in June 2005 as manager of IT operations and has since been promoted to various senior positions at the bank’s IT department.
He holds an IT diploma and several specialist IT certifications. He is currently in his final year of studies towards an honours degree in business management from the University of Lincoln.
