Sonita Pienaar was crowned the Ladies Angler of the Year for the second consecutive year in the 2013 Bank Windhoek Namibian Bass Angling Association (NBAA) Angling Awards.

This follows the announcement last week of the Angler of the Year for 2013, which was won by Alec Williams.

The Ladies Angler of the Year is determined by points gained in the eight national tournaments sponsored by Bank Windhoek.

The six best scores are added together to determine the top angler for that season.

Autohaus Windhoek sponsored angler, Sonita Pienaar, won five of these tournaments in 2013.

This is her second year of angling and has set a new benchmark for other competitors in the ladies league.

The top three final standings were:

Sonita Pienaar : 598 points

Collette Carstens: 582 points

Elmarie Smit: 579 points
