Venaani wins DTA elections

McHenry Venaani became the new president of the Democratic Turnhalle Alliance (DTA) after he defeated veteran politician, Katuutire Kaura at the party’s elective congress today.

Venaani garnered 96 votes against 52 of Kaura after a total of 148 were casted by members of the various structures in the party.

Venaani has been elected in that position for the next five years, ousting Kaura who has been at the helm for 15 years.
