TransNamib pens cooperation deal with TransNet

TransNamib Holdings Ltd has signed a cooperation agreement with TransNet Engineering South Africa to engage in the transfer of resources and skills, on maintenance of rolling stock.
In a statement, TransNamib said the agreement also aims to enhance the procurement processes and fleet management to heighten efficiency.
The three year agreement signed by Sara Naanda, TransNamib’s Chief Executive Officer and Richard Vallihu, Transnet Engineering Chief Executive has a renewal option.
Transnet Engineering is an engineering Division of Transnet Ltd. in South Africa, comprising a group of product focused businesses in manufacturing, upgrading, and repairing of rolling stock.
"The cooperation agreement is a significant step for TransNamib, as the company gears to reposition itself into Namibia’s preferred logistics enterprise, with key focus on improved engineering services, development of staff in critical areas and delivery of, " TransNamib said in a statement.
TransNamib Holdings Ltd noted that the agreement came because of TransNet Engineering’s world class efficiency.
" With the signing of this cooperation agreement, TransNamib and TransNet Engineering are destined to be better partners as both entities share similar backgrounds, and this will allow for the creation of synergies to support each other in dealing with critical operational challenges that may face the two organizations," TransNamib added.
