Namibia, Angola share spoils in boxing

The 'International Best of the Best' boxing tournament hosted by the Namibia Boxing Federation (NBF) featured Namibia’s elite team of boxers against their Angolan counterparts late last week.
Namibia scooped the trophy for the best team and the best boxer in the category with a lesser weight went to Mathew Hamunyela of Namibia who competed in the Flyweight division of 49 kilograms.
The best boxer in the heavier weight category was Alfonso Carlos of Angola,who competed in the welterweight division of 69 kilograms.   
The tournament showed that the boxers of the two countries are ready for the upcoming Africa Boxing Confederation Zone 4 Elite Boxing Championships, due in Gaborone, Botswana from 9 – 15 June.
Namibia will be represented by a full-team of 10 boxers in different weight categories.
