Team Namibia has appointed, Head Strategic Marketing & Communications at FNB Namibia Holdings Dixon Norval as the new vice-chairman of the Board.
His appointment is with immediate effect.  In a statement Team Namibia said Norval’s 10-year involvement with Team Namibia dates back to the organisation’s inception in 2003.
Commenting on his appointment Norval said, “I am extremely grateful for the opportunity to make a difference at Team Namibia in my new position as vice-chairperson.  With the national emphasis on trade, particularly in relation to NDP IV goals, Team Namibia’s focus remains on making a positive impact on economic sustainability.
“Our goal for the next two years is to identify more opportunities for encouraging competitive standards for local products and services to stimulate increased consumer confidence in Namibia.”
Meanwhile, Namib Mills’ position on the Team Namibia Board has been filled by Ms Megan Zondagh, marketing manager of Namib Mills (Pty) Ltd. Zondagh holds a National Diploma in Public Relations and Communication, and brings six years’ experience with a market leader in international brands.
 Commenting on her appointment, Zondagh said “I am excited about the tremendous potential that exists in both the national and international market for Namibian companies, and look forward to driving Team Namibia forward and supporting its initiatives at Board level to make the brand more recognisable in the marketplace.”
