A 19 year old murder suspect from Otjimuise was granted N$3000 bail by a Katutura Magistrate court last week.
Phillip Mannikie was picked up by the police on 27 April this year when he allegedly killed a man in Otjimuise on that same day.
The deceased, Ronnie Scheepers, 36, died from stab injuries. The cause of the altercation is not known yet but Mannikie allegedly plunged an unknown object into Scheepers’ back that caused his death later.
Mannikie made his first appearance three days after the incident where his right were read to him in court and he opted to conduct his own defence.
He was granted N$3000 bail when he appeared in court last week on condition that he does not interfere with the investigations and does not leave Windhoek without notifying the investigating officer.
His matter was remanded to the 20th this month.
