NESA selects League of Legends players

Namibia Electronic Sports Association (NESA) have selected players for the League of Legends finals to represent Namibia in upcoming international games.

The selected players will be categorised as the 1st team players, treasurer of NESA Salome de Bruyn said.

“We had the League of Legends and players were selected from the qualifier to participate in this final so we can select players for the League of Legends title for the Namibian eSports Team. The players will represent the country against top competing eSports countries known for their skills and love of the sport in the upcoming games,” she said.

She added that all the players that were selected performed outstandingly and there are hopes that they will do even better in the upcoming international games.

Players that were selected for the 1st team are Else Stoffberg; Richard van Wyk; Jonathan Calitz; Damien Britz and Flip de Bruyn.

Monster Energy and Imagine Games Café are the main sponsors of the event.

The first International test match is scheduled to take place on the 22nd of September against South Africa at Imagine Games Café in Windhoek.
