The Namibia Airports Company (NAC) board of directors have reappointed Lot Haifidi for a second time as acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and strategic executive for corporate governance with immediate effect from today until further notice.

Former presidential advisor Albertus Aochamub has been holding the position of acting CEO for some time now but when The Villager contacted him he said he was still working for NAC.

The decision to appoint Haifidi has been taken by a resolution during an ordinary pre-scheduled meeting of the board of directors also held today.

“The NAC board of directors would like to thank Mr. Aochamub for services that he rendered to the institution during his acting period and wishes him the best in his future endeavours,” read a NAC press statement.

Meanwhile, Haifidi was appointed in the CEO position last year on 5 September during his tenure when he was holding the position of Strategic Executive: Corporate Governance.
