Namibia Hunting Rifle Shooting Association (NHRSA), hosted the second leg of the regional competition last week at Rosh Pinah.
The Association has this time around witnessed one of the top shooters from Netherlands taking part in the competition, public relation officer of NHRSA Best-Marie Coetzee has told The Villager.
“We were lucky to have Jan Prinsen from the Netherlands who also participated. With the shooters well rested after a long drive, started the day with the .223 class. the competition continued in the open class where any competitor with any caliber rifle could join in the fun,” she sated.
She added that the shooters have improved their shooting tactics and were all out to win during the competition.
This time around three shooters in each category walked away with medallions.
In the Gold Class category Gert Petrus Martins; Francois Marais Jnr and Johan Gerhard Loubser won.
In the Silver Class category Ferdinand Schnaitmann; Melanie Grobler and Gawie van Zyl took home silver medallions while in the Bronze Class category Lauren Nesenberend; Johan Loubser walked away with bronze medallions.
The ladies' category was won by Lauren Nesenberend; Melanie Grobler and Best –Marie Coetzee respectively. The senior’s category was won by Francois Marias; Johan Loubers and Johannes van der Wath.
NHRSA is expected to host its first qualification round for the top 30 on the 20th of April.
