The incident was reported by NamWater head of public relations, marketing and corporate communication, Johannes Shigwedha, in a statement sent to the media.

“It is with great sadness and sorrow that the Namibia Water Corporation (NamWater) announces a fatal accident that took the life of a young man at the Water Utility Head offices in Windhoek. The accident, which occurred today, 19 March 2018, at around 11H00 am, happened when the young man whose company is contracted by NamWater to carry out routine maintenance of the building, fell through the roof top, which he was busy water proofing. NamWater regrets the accident and wishes to extend its condolences to the family of the deceased,” said Shigwedha.
