Trackfo and Nobi collaborate on Ondaza Nale

by Rosalia David

Afro Pop artist Tuuda Dumeni aka Trackfo Wako D’ Vovo and rapper Casa-Nova Daniel better known as CasaNovaDattNobi have just collaborated on a brand-new hit single titled Ondaza Nale.

Trackfo is a musician who hails from the Omafo Village where he completed his primary school and moved to Windhoek in 2003 to complete his secondary school at Ella Du Plesis.

He has two albums under his belt, The Return of The Truth which was released in 2013 and The Relic Hunter dropped in 2016.

“Ondaza Nale simply just means we come a long way together, it is a song which talks about being friends for a while and still keeping the fire burning without having to have unnecessary fights,” he said.

According to the Afro Pop artist, both have equal rights to the Ondaza Nale and will be included in both musicians’ upcoming albums.

“We cannot really say whose song it is because we were just in the studio that day and decided to come up with a concept together,” CasaNovaDattNobi said.

CasaNovaDatNobi told Vibe that he has been doing music since primary school, taking part in street rap battles in Oshakati until he moved to Windhoek in 2009.

The aspiring 27-year-old rapper released his first mixtape last year June titled Unpredictable and has plans to release another one before the end of the year.

It has not reached the radio stations yet.

“I am only dropping the song at different radio stations on Monday and will also be running around booking TV interviews,” Treckfo explained.

He added that he has been pushing for TV interviews for a while now but never got a response.

He said, “I will try and drop the music video on Whatagwan to secure an interview, that is now if they even call me back. I am always dropping videos but those guys always have long stories.”

According to Treckfo, the Ondaza Nale track was cut by a local producer, Mnali, while the music video was shot and directed by Namwood.

“Namwood actually sponsored us with a free music video while the song was produced by Mnali who is very talented,” Treckfo noted.

Although this is their first ever project together, the two artists aim to drop more singles together this year.

“With this first collabo, we where just testing the waters, now that we know that people love our combination, we might just drop the next one sooner than expected,” CasaNovaDatNobi revealed.
