Former gender minister, Rosalia Nghidinwa dies
The former Gender Equality and Child Welfare minister, Rosalia Nghidinwa has died. She was 65.
Nghidinwa was admitted at the Roman Catholic hospital in Windhoek yesterday, and passed away this morning.
Kavango West Governor, Sirkka Ausiku confirmed her passing away although she could not confirm the time.
“Yes, it is unfortunately true. I received the message from the family in Windhoek. She was admitted in hospital at the Catholic Hospital,” Ausiku said.
Nghidinwa who was born in Nkurenkuru, Kavango on 26 October 1952, joined the Swapo Party in 1974.
She also served as the minister of immigration between 2005 – 2012.
