Man rapes ex-girlfriend in Gibeon

The police at Gibeon in Hardap region are on the search for a male suspect who allegedly raped his ex-girlfriend on Wednesday night.

The man who is known to the police has not been named in the police report availed to the media.

According to Nampol, on Wednesday evening the suspect showed up at his ex-girlfriend’s house between 21h00 and 22h30 in Vergenoeg location and lured her from her home.

The police said the suspect owed the victim money which he used to lure her out of her house.

Once the victim was outside, the suspect pulled out a pair of scissors which he threatened to stab her with.

He then proceeded to force her to accompany him to his home where he raped her. He has not been seen since.

The police investigations continue.
