Man accused of stock theft

Mbindama Matheus (35) a resident of Erf MC 284 Mix Location has been accused of stealing a cow in the Brakwater area.
The incident took place on 21 November 2015 when Matheus unlawfully took a cow in the possession of Shafodino Petrus. The cow was valued at N$12 000.00.
If charged with the crime Matheus could face a penalty clause. If he is found to be a first time offender he could face a prison sentence of no less than 10 years, a fine of N$20 000.00 or both imprisonment and the fine.
The accused is to remain in police custody until his next appearance in court on the 23rd of May while awaiting further investigation.
